Pinetree Industries was founded in 1955 by Dan Mathews. Dan started by working for his father in a textile mill in Pennyslvania in 1949, starting at the bottom and working this way through the various steps of weaving and finishing of fabrics. Dan commuted from the mill in Pennyslvannia to the main converting office in New York City as he studied the various types of weaving styles in the loom, as well as marketing and sales of fabrics.



Dan is a graduate of Bryant University of Rhode Island earning a degree in Buisness Management with a minor in Buisness Law.



Dan continues to be active in the day to day operation of Pinetree Industries as well as Fabricwarehouse of Maine.
